Hello, I am Mariama! I have been a massage therapist since 2021, receiving my degree at the Washington Spa Academy.
I believe touch is vital for human growth and it has always been a part of my life. My love of massage began in Gambia with my great grandmother’s constant and loving shoulder rubs! Her touch made me happy and relaxed. Massage was an integral part of my family. Our love language if you will.
Although I was introduced to massage as a child, my inspiration to become a therapist occurred as an adult on the beaches of Kona, Hawaii. Hearing the waves and the roar of the ocean, I felt I was in heaven. I realized I wanted to share the healing and relaxing benefits of massage with others. I’ve come to realize that pursuing a career as a massage therapist was undoubtedly the best choice I could have made. Through a passionate study of the various modalities of massage, I have gained a skill set that allows me to share with you the power of massage.
